Coffee Girl, my oil painting, will be exhibited in London at the Camden Image Gallery from 12 – 15 June, in the 2019 Salon des Refuses Summer Exhibition.

My ‘Coffee Girl’ appeared by chance in the corner of a Florence street scene I was photographing.  I didn’t even know she was there until later when I uploaded my photos.

Such a serendipitous event deserved its own painting.

I like the mystery of her – her random appearance in my photo, and also what is she doing?  Is she day dreaming?  Is she meeting a friend?  Or is there someone else with her, just outside the picture?
