What a joy on a sunny day to do some sketching, and socialising, with friends.  You only need a pencil and paper.  A pen if you prefer, or I also like to use some coloured pencils.

This summer we have drawn all around the local area.  We had a great morning drawing in a brewery – barrels, vats and lots of interesting equipment.  Another slightly showery day sketching in a park.  Lots of sunshine when we were drawing in an old, disused and very peaceful cemetery.  And we went a bit farther afield to a lock, drawing boats.

Putting pencil to paper, sketching is about fun and enjoying the outdoors. Give it a go.
